Composition

MTA+ powder:
Oxides of calcium, silicon, iron, aluminium, sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium phosphate (≈ ¾ of total), bismuth oxide, zirconium oxide. -
MTA+ liquid:
Ph. Eur. purified water.
Intended Use
MTA+ is a material for filling and remineralisation of root canals.
It is especially indicated for:

Perforations of root canal walls

Intracanal resorptions
-
Root tip backfilling
-
Direct pulp capping
-
Pulp amputation surgery
-
Treatment of teeth with incomplete root development
Properties:

High calcium ion content supports remineralisation of tooth tissue.

Calcium-silicon compounds promote reconstruction after perforation or resorption.
-
Radiopaque.
-
Meets EN ISO 6876 requirements.
Contraindications
-
Do not use in inflammatory conditions.
-
Acidic pH values disrupt setting.
-
Not suitable as a complete root canal filling due to difficulty of removal.
Warnings and Precautions

Health hazards:
-
Causes serious eye damage.
-
Irritates oral mucosa and skin.
-
May cause respiratory irritation.
-
Discolouration may occur.
-

Clinical considerations:
-
Moisture (including blood) reduces curing time.
-
Complete canal filling may reduce fracture resistance of the root.

Endodontic treatment may involve temporary pain, swelling, or tenderness.
-
Potential for bacterial microleakage with permanent fillings.
-
Cytotoxic potential.

Protective measures:
-
Use rubber dam, disposable gloves, goggles/visors, and protective clothing.
-
Avoid creating and inhaling dust.
-
In case of contact, rinse with plenty of water.
-
If swallowed: rinse mouth, do not induce vomiting.

If irritation persists or symptoms develop, seek medical attention.
-
⚠️ Keep out of the reach of children.
Report any serious incidents to the manufacturer and the relevant authority.

Store in a tightly closed original container below 25°C.

Protect from moisture.

Expiry date indicated on packaging.
