Root Canal Filling and Sealing Material

Composition

  • Epoxy-amino resin

  • Zirconium oxide

  • Calcium phosphate

  • Excipients

Intended Use

  • For filling and sealing root canals in permanent teeth using spot gutta-percha

  • Compatible with standard cold lateral condensation and thermal techniques

  • Suitable for thermic methods

  • Radiopaque for X-ray imaging

  • Meets EN ISO 6876 standards for root canal sealing materials

Contraindications

  • Do not use in patients with hypersensitivity to any components

Precautions

  • Root canal filling may involve bacterial microleakage

  • SYNTEX has cytotoxic potential

  • Endodontic treatment may involve temporary postoperative pain

  • Use cofferdam, disposable gloves, safety goggles/visors, and protective clothing

  • Keep out of reach of children

  • Causes severe eye damage and may cause allergic skin reaction

  • Eye contact: rinse thoroughly for at least 10 minutes, seek medical advice

  • Skin/mucous contact: rinse with water; seek medical advice if irritation persists

  • If swallowed: do not induce vomiting; rinse mouth and seek medical advice

  • Avoid pushing material through the root apex; use X-ray and endometer guidance

  • Any serious incidents should be reported to the manufacturer and competent authority

Storage

  • Store in a sealed package in a ventilated room at 2–25°C

  • Protect from sunlight

  • Expiry date is on the product label

  • Once opened, expiry date does not change if syringe is securely closed

  • Avoid mixing pastes on the cap with syringe contents to prevent premature polymerization

Handling the Product Container

  • Empty containers should be disposed of responsibly or returned to the manufacturer
